Clues for an unforgettable Christmas table
These days we want to convey something special, create unique moments, and the table becomes the best reflection of our feelings. But how to get an unforgettable Christmas table? Vicky Carrillo gives us some tips to achieve it:
Overall look: The table is not just good crockery or glassware. The combination of its elements is essential: Tell a story through its elements, choose a tone as the common thread on the table, balance the design of your tableware with the pattern on the tablecloth and seek the harmony of all the ingredients.
Make a difference: If you want to surprise your guests, change the look of your table, just the opposite of the previous year. If last year you opted for a leading tablecloth, bet this year on a more natural table, dressed only with individual tablemats, or change the color that dominated your table last year. By changing we force ourselves to be more creative and that always enriches the result.
Mix and win: “I love combining different colours and designs, different coloured glasses, dishes. You can even alternate different models for each guest, the result is beautiful. Personally I like to keep my Christmas tableware but I don’t always plan it in the same way: sometimes I combine it with white plates, other times I introduce a different colour in bowls or presentation plates, it is always possible to make small changes to break the monotony and achieve every year a different effect …
Floral decorations to evoke nature: don’t just put Christmas centerpieces, hug your table with seasonal products to recreate Christmas nature: surround the stalls with pinecones, oranges and cinnamon, fill the fruit bowls with pomegranates or holly, create table runners with intertwined pine branches or even as presentation plates and of course, complement them with candles or lights, nothing more cozy.
Above all, be creative in the details, use your imagination!: position marks with names for each dinner guest, endearing phrases on each plate, decorate the ceiling lamp with fresh mistletoe to bring it to life and remember the tradition of good luck. .. I love to put sleigh bells tied with a red bow in each glass, it is a sound detail full of magic.
Do not forget to: Adapt the presentation to the menu you have proposed, do not overwhelm the table excessively so that it breathes and allows a pleasant evening (it is highly recommended to have a support table so that the main one is impeccable) and enrich the environment with an surrounding scent . Above all, do not be afraid to express your personality, there is nothing more special than the authentic.
