Carrillo at Casa Decor
Casa Decor is an interior design platform held annually in Madrid, bringing together studios, brands and professionals within a single iconic building, presenting proposals that are not only meant to surprise, but also to be experienced.
Over several weeks, the building is completely transformed, each space is individually reinterpreted, creating a sequence of environments where different approaches to design coexist.
Carrillo has taken part in various editions over the years, consistently approaching each project in the same way, starting from an idea and building from there, creating spaces that, through a unique narrative, reflect a refined interpretation of design trends.
(2017) The Influencer, the atmosphere of a collector
Selected by the prestigious firm Bang & Olufsen to design their space, Laura Carrillo created a cosmopolitan and sophisticated environment where technology and innovation take the lead, the proposal revolves around a way of living.
“The Influencer” conceives the interior as a personal refuge, where design, technology and everyday life integrate naturally.
Light, sound and atmosphere are not added elements, they are part of the space itself, everything responds, everything accompanies.
The aesthetic is based on balance, natural materials, restrained tones and subtle contrasts that introduce rhythm without disrupting harmony.

The Influencer presented a masculine and sophisticated aesthetic with a playful nod to the 1950s.
(2014) Atelier Gran Mogol, the hidden diamond
Atelier Gran Mogol immerses us in the creative moment through an enveloping oriental atmosphere.
The space recreates a creative workshop where art, craftsmanship and references between East and West coexist.
Materials are presented without artifice, wood, textiles and colour, intense and direct, occupy the space naturally.
There are open projects, books in use, pieces in transformation, everything suggests that something is happening, that the space is not finished, but in constant evolution.

The chromatic richness of Gran Mogol filled the space with a vibrant sense of optimism.
(2012) Geometric, a theorem of elegance
Located in the emblematic building of the Real Compañía Asturiana de Minas, in Plaza de España.
Geometric was an exercise in balance between the classical and the contemporary, where three distinct spaces, bathroom, bedroom and living area, coexist in a fluid and dynamic way.
The space is organised through lines, curves and changes in rhythm that allow different environments to be articulated within a continuous whole.
There are no strict divisions, colour, textures and composition define each area.
Some elements are displaced from their usual position, creating a certain sense of surprise without breaking the coherence of the whole.

Geometric proposed a contemporary interior in harmony with the classical architecture of the building.
Across different editions, the projects do not respond to a single aesthetic or formal language.
But they do share a way of working, starting from an idea and allowing everything else to be built from it.
Behind all these spaces, there is something that is not always said.
A way of working that comes from afar, shaped over time by several generations of women, different perspectives, a shared sensibility.
A way of understanding design that is rooted in the personal, the lived and the essential.

The four Carrillo sisters designed many of the Casa Decor spaces together, creating unique proposals defined by their unmistakable style and elegance.
