Interior Design and Art, a necessary conversation
At Carrillo, we understand that art is not simply a decorative addition. It is a key element in any interior design project.

When designing a space, we think about the atmosphere we want to create. Layout, materials and lighting are fundamental, but art is what truly brings character and personality to a space. A carefully chosen artwork can completely transform a living room, a dining area or even an entrance hall.
Art introduces depth and meaning into interior spaces. Each piece has its own language, intention and a unique way of interacting with the environment that surrounds it. Integrating an artwork into an interior design project is not simply about placing a painting on a wall; it is about creating a dialogue between architecture, materials and artistic expression.
In many of our projects, we work with large-scale pieces that become the visual focal point of the space. Our aim is not for the artwork to ¨match¨ the sofa, but to engage with the architecture and bring energy, texture and presence. A neutral background allows the artwork to breathe and naturally become the protagonist of the room.

Every artwork has a story, an author and creative intention. This transforms a space from something purely functional into a unique environment with its own character and personality.
For this reason, beyond integrating art into our projects, we have also sought to make our own space a place dedicated to art. Over the years, we have organized various exhibitions that have transformed our space into an Art & Design Centre, a meeting point between art and interior design. These initiatives allow us to share new perspectives, support artists ands bring contemporary art closer to those who visit us.
Laura Carrillo always seeks a special piece that connects with each project. Whether it is painting, sculpture, classical art, contemporary works or avant-garde design, every project features an artwork that reflects its style and personality.
We have also wanted our own space to become a place dedicated to art. Over the years, we have organised various exhibitions in our Art & Design Centre, turning it into a meeting point between art and design. These exhibitions allow us to share new perspectives, support artists and bring art closer to those who visit us.
We believe that interior design is not only about creating beautiful spaces, but about shaping places with character. And art is, without doubt, one of the most powerful ways to achieve this.
